Princess Maddy and a New Baby too!

So I thought that I would add a quick entry about what has been going on with the new baby. On Fourth of July I started having some contractions that quickly turned to intense, constant contractions. Jeremy and I decided to head to the hospital and see what we needed to do. I was in a lot of pain and things just didn't feel right. They admitted me and after giving me some IV fluids thinking it might be dehydration causing the contractions, they continued and were getting more intense. They started me on some Magnesium to try and calm the muscles and stop the contractions. They also gave me some drugs to help strengthen the baby in case we couldn't get the contractions to stop. I told her that it wasn't time yet and she had to wait... (she is testing me already!) After staying on the drugs all night the doctor came in the next morning and said we would take me off them and see if the contractions started back up without it. I had a few but nothing as intense OR consistent like before.
I was discharged with orders to rest as much as possible and not travel for atleast a week. SO I am still in Hernando trying to rest and let family take care of Maddy, Micah and me. Hopefully after this week of rest I will be able to return to life as usual with no more threats of a premature baby!
I have to say that I was pretty scared by the whole thing and am glad that so far things seem to have calmed back down.
Keep us in your thoughts and prayers that these last two months will go smoothly and our new baby girl will stay where she is supposed to be until she is ready to be born all healthy and beautiful!!

So I thought I would check in with everyone and say hello! We have been SO busy this past two months. We went to Disney World and had a blast! It was really the coolest thing ever to see Maddy's reaction to seeing characters, riding rides, and even fireworks! Of course, we were at the Magic Kingdom and seeing fireworks over Cinderella's castle was even breath taking for me! I can't believe that she will be turning 3 in a couple of months. OR that just weeks after that we will have a new baby girl in our family!!
Yep, that's right! Another baby girl is on the way. That will bring the total up to Girls: 4 (including Micah) Boys:1. Jeremy is definitely outnumbered now....
I will try and get some Disney pics up on the site ASAP. We have just been really busy, I am tired all the time and there just doesn't seem to be enough minutes in the day!!
I will do my best, so keep an eye out!

I added some pictures of Maddy in her new sandbox that Poppi built her. She calls it "her beach". And we play in it everyday! I also added some pictures of a horse show that we took her to this weekend. Some friends of ours (Mandy and Mike) have a horse named Milly that was showing. Maddy got to feed her lots of carrots and even help give her a bath. She had a blast. I am sure she will be asking for a horse of her own.
We go next Wednesday for our ultrasound to find out if we are having another girl or a boy! I will update for sure next week and share the big news!

Hi there!
A lot has been happening since I last updated. Let's see, Jeremy and I went to Hawaii. It was awesome. We had the best time. Nothing could have been better. Maddy stayed with Aunt Sharon, Gma, Nana, Poppi, Mimi, and Aunt Missy. She dyed easter eggs, baked cookies, went to the Children's Museum, the Memphis Zoo, and Heber Springs to see her great granny, great grandaddy, and great great grandmother. Needless to say, she had as good of time as we did. I don't even think she missed us at all. Of course, the other big news that we haven't shared yet is that we are pregnant and expecting baby #2 in the middle of September! Maddy and the new baby will be almost exactly 3 years apart! Crazy. We didn't want to say anything until after the 12 week mark and then we got so busy that I never had time to update the blog! SO now we are going on 18 weeks and are scheduled for our next ultrasound on May 14th to find out if its a girl or boy! So far everything is going well. I am finally over all of the morning sickness. So I'm excited about that. We are counting the days until we leave for Disney. We will be going with the Penrose's for our yearly trip :) And it will be interesting this year. Since we will have baby Drew this time and since Maddy will be old enough to understand what is going on. Last year, she “got it” a little but this year should be really fun. So anyway, I am sure all of you have tons going on this summer as well! I plan to start really trying to do the potty training thing with Maddy when we get back from Disney. So that should be an adventure in itself! I have her enrolled for Pre K 3 in the fall. And she has to be potty trained by then as well as expecting a new baby then, I hope that she will be out of diapers before I have another one in them!! I will keep you posted. Eventually I will get the ultrasound picture(s) on here as well. I hope you all are doing well!!

Happy Easter! Happy Spring!
Hope everything is going well with everyone. We have been doing good. Maddy just keeps getting bigger and bigger. She changes everyday. She keeps us laughing with the things that she says. We are attempting potty training but she really could care less about it. She doesn't want to stop what she is doing/playing long enough to do that. But we will keep trying. We are looking forward to our yearly Disney trip! Its coming up in May. But Jeremy and I are going on a trip for just the two of us, next week and I am really excited about it. We are going to Hawaii!! Whoo hooo! Maddy will be staying with her Aunt Sharon, Nana and Great grandma for the first part of the week while we are gone. Then she will be visiting with Poppi, Mimi, and Aunt Missy for the last part of the week. They may even go to Heber Springs and see her great granny, grandaddy and great great grandmother!! So she will have plenty of fun as well and I am sure I will have lots of pictures to post of her adventures when we get back. I know everyone is looking forward to the weather getting warmer and getting outside to play. I will be updating the site again soon!

Merry Christmas! Happy New Year! Go Dawgs!
We have had a lot to celebrate the past couple of weeks. Not to mention Jeremy turning 30!!
We hope that you all had a wonderful christmas holidays with your families and friends and know that we are thankful for each of you that share in our lives, and you were in our thoughts over this holiday season.
Everything is going well. Maddy amazes us every day with the new things she says and understands. She is really into coloring, painting and reading books. But she isn't still for long and doesn't do the same thing for very long so I am constantly trying to keep her occupied. We have so much fun though. She keeps Jeremy and I laughing.
I know I have said it before but the kid never stops talking! I don't know where she inherited that from?! :) She even talks in her sleep!
I added some pictures from diffrent things in December. I still have more to add so I am sure you will be getting another notification that I updated the page soon!
Hope you are all doing well and we would love to hear from you!

Hey guys!
(This is one of Maddy's favorite phrases right now). She is absolutely hilarious these days. It amazes me the things she says and does. She observes everything and really takes it in. I can't believe at one time I was worried because she wasn't talking yet..... oh, how times have changed.
She had her 2 year check up and everything is going well. Despite my fear that she would be underweight since she is SO picky about eating, the pediatrician says she looks great. She is tall for her age, but that isn't a bad thing. So long as she can handle it when she's in Junior High and taller than all the boys!! :)
I hope everyone is doing well. We welcomed Baby Drew Penrose into the world at the end of September so make sure you check their blog and look how cute he is! I have never seen a baby that looks so much like BOTH of the parents. We are glad that mom and baby (and dad too) are doing well!
I will try to get some new pics on soon!

Maddy's TWO!!!
Can you believe it? I can't. The entire party I kept thinking of how different she is just from last year's party. Its pretty amazing. So we had it at Poppi's house. There was a pink princess moonbounce. The kids had a blast (and so did the adults when the kids got bored!) Maddy had a Mickey Mouse cake and she got tons of fun presents. Poppi gave her a pink barbie jeep. It has a working radio and everything. I think we are all pretty excited about it because that means we don't have to push her around in the other car/wagon she had! Now we just have to watch our toes. ha! Maddy had so much fun and we really only had a few "toddler two breakdowns". So I was happy.
Maddy is talking all the time now and REPEATING everything she hears. SO we have to be careful. She has started going to Mothers Day Out 2 days a week for a couple of hours. It has been really good for her to be around other kids. She doesn't participate in lunch time or nap time but she doesn't do that for me either. Oh well!

Hi everyone! Just put some pics up of Maddy's first hair cut. Can't really tell how it turned out but I will try to take some more. I also put a video of her dancing. She hasn't really started singing this song yet but she can sing "twinkle twinkle" really well! I have tried to video that but she won't do it on command! Hope everyone is doing well. Keep checking the sites for updates! And I'll keep posting them!

So I know I have been REALLY terrible at updating the site. We have been so busy, but still that is not an excuse. For a while, I had help from Nana keeping it up to date, but she has been busy as well!
Jeremy and I went on a cruise to celebrate our 5 year anniversary at the beginning of May. This was my first time to leave maddy for more that day or two so it was a huge deal! Jer and I had a blast, and according to Poppi, Mimi, Aunt Missy and Nana who kept maddy while we were gone, she didn't even realize that we were gone! Figures! :)
Then when we got back from that trip, a week later we headed to Disney World with the Penroses! Madelyn had a blast and we had so much fun watching her have so much fun! Tim and Brandie got a little taste of what they are in for when baby Penrose arrives!
Since we have gotten back from that trip we have taken a couple of weekend trips and we feel like we have been away from home forever!
Speaking of home, we are loving Nashville and adjusting well! The house is finally coming together although we haven't been there much lately to enjoy it!
I can't believe that in TWO months, Maddy will be turning TWO years old....
I want to know if any of you even check this site anymore, or if we should just cancel it?!? Please leave a comment and let us know!
I dont have any disney pics with me to post (because we are actually in oxford right now visiting the Baddours!) but when I get back home I SWEAR I'll put some on there.... that is, if anyone is interested?!? Let me know!
