July 2006

I can’t believe it has been so long since I have updated the site. I guess I have been so busy chasing my speed crawler that I just have not done it. She is in to everything now days. And instead of obeying me when I say no, she just laughs every time I say it! She doesn’t care if you spat her hand or whatever; she will go right back and try to do whatever it is again. I try not to laugh, but her laugh is so funny when I tell her no that it is hard not to laugh. She is SO stubborn that we are really in trouble.
We are living at Nana’s house now. We have put our house on the market and we figured it would be easier to keep the house clean to show people if we were not living there with a 10 month old. Hopefully it will sell soon so we can be through with that completely. Jeremy has officially been transferred to Nashville and has an office set up there. We have been looking at houses in that area for a while now, and finally found and put a contract on one that we looooove. We are really excited! It will not be finished being built until the end of September (at least), so we will enjoy being in Hernando until then to visit with our family and hopefully friends before we move.

A lot of our friends have had babies in the past couple of months and we are so excited for them and that they are all healthy! The Flowers had their twin girls a month early (Carsen and Camden), they are all doing well and are cute as can be. The Sartin’s had their pretty little girl (Mary Kellan) and are also trying to adjust to parenthood. The Tipton’s had their little man (Jonathon) and they are going to be in the area at the end of July so we can’t wait to meet him then! Also Paul and Cindi Baddour had a little boy (Trace) who is such a sweetie and we have been able to see him a few times.

We hope that everyone is doing well and that we will see you all soon.

Oh yeah, and just to brag on my husband a little, he planned a surprise trip for just the two of us to New York 2 weekends ago. I had no idea, he just told me to pack a bag. We had the most awesome seats at the Tim McGraw and Faith Hill concert at Madison Square Garden, I got a spa day, we had tickets to the play RENT, we ate at the most romantic restaurant in NY, we also ate at Serendipity, we went on a carriage ride through Central Park, we went to 2 movies (ahh the simple things that you can’t do with a baby), we went shopping and we stayed at the Hilton Times Square so we were right in the middle of everything! The whole trip was entirely perfect, and the most romantic thing he has done in a long time. He knew I needed a break from Maddy so he lined up babysitters for the whole weekend and I didn't have to do a thing! He is the best :) And now all the girls are saying "hey, wait a minute!" and the guys are saying "thanks a lot!" But there are a lot of things he does I should brag on more often, this was just too big to go unmentioned!
